Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about bulk EXIF metadata removal.
How many files can I process at once?
You can process up to 50 files per batch. For larger collections, run multiple batches — there is no limit on the total number of photos you can clean.
How fast is batch processing?
Files are processed in parallel using multiple browser workers, so a batch of 20 typical JPG photos takes just a few seconds on a modern device. Processing time depends on file size and your device's CPU.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
Never. Every file is processed entirely in your browser. No image data, no metadata, and no file names are sent to any server. Even the ZIP is assembled locally in your browser.
What happens to files that fail?
Failed files are listed separately with the reason. You can click Retry failed to attempt them again, or remove them from the queue. Failures are typically caused by unsupported formats or corrupted files.
Will the cleaned images look the same?
Yes — only the metadata is removed. The actual pixel data is completely untouched. With orientation preservation enabled, images will display correctly in all apps even without the EXIF orientation tag.
What metadata is removed from each file?
All EXIF, IPTC, and XMP metadata is removed, including GPS coordinates, camera make and model, date and time, author, copyright, software, and all other embedded data fields.
