Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about changing audio speed online.

Does changing the speed affect the pitch?

No. The tool uses FFmpeg's atempo filter which changes the tempo without shifting the pitch. A voice slowed to 0.75x still sounds natural — not unnaturally deep.

What speed range is supported?

You can change speed from 0.25x (quarter speed) to 4x (four times faster). For speeds outside the 0.5–2.0 range, the tool chains multiple atempo filters automatically.

Is my audio uploaded to a server?

Never. FFmpeg runs as WebAssembly directly in your browser. Your audio file never leaves your device — no upload, no server processing.

What audio formats are supported?

MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC, FLAC, and most other common audio formats. The output is saved in the same format as the original file.
