One collage holds 2 to 9 photos. If you pick more than 9, the first 9 are used and the rest are left out. For a bigger set, split the photos across two or more collages, or combine them all into one PDF with the Image to PDF tool.

There are 8 grid layouts: 2 photos side by side or stacked, 3 in a row or in a column, and 2×2, 3×2, 2×3 and 3×3 grids. In the grid names, the first number is how many photos go across. Every cell is square.

Set the gap to 0 in the editor. The photos then touch, with no lines between them. The collage never has a border around its outside edge, so a 0 gap gives a fully borderless image. The default gap is 8 pixels.

Yes. Cells are square, so each photo fills its cell and loses its edges by default. Click the photo and choose Fit inside to show all of it, with the background color filling the space left over. Choose Fill cell to switch back.

It is a PNG file 1200 pixels wide. The height depends on the layout: 1200 × 1200 for a 2×2 grid, about 1200 × 600 for two photos side by side, and about 1200 × 3616 for 3 in a Column. There is no JPG option or larger size.

Large photos lose some detail, because each one is scaled down to fit its cell, which is 384 to 1200 pixels wide. The PNG file itself adds no compression loss. At 300 DPI the collage prints about 10 cm (4 in) wide, so it suits screens better than A4 prints.

Drag a photo onto another cell and the two swap places, along with their zoom and rotation. To use a different picture, click the photo and choose Replace, or click its thumbnail in the Photos list. Clicking an empty cell lets you add a photo there.

Files that cannot be opened as images are skipped, and only the first 9 photos are kept. HEIC, TIFF and similar photos are converted to JPG before they appear; if a conversion fails, a message names the file. Convert that photo to JPG first, then add it again.

Yes, for square posts. The 2×2 grid makes a 1200 × 1200 pixel square, and the 3×3 grid comes out almost square. There is no 4:5 portrait or 9:16 story shape, so a tall layout gets cropped when you post it there.

No. This tool arranges photos only, with no text, stickers, frames or filters. The background comes in white, black or gray. To add a caption, save the collage and open the PNG in the Meme Generator, which adds top and bottom text.

You need no account, and your photos stay on your device while the grid is drawn in this browser tab. We do collect basic usage stats, such as which layout you chose and a rough file size range, but never the photos or their names.
