Frequently Asked Questions

PDF watermarking explained.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. All watermarking happens locally using pdf-lib in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.

Can I remove the watermark later?

The watermark is embedded directly into the PDF page content. It cannot be removed without specialized PDF editing tools.

What fonts are used for the watermark?

Watermarks use Helvetica Bold (a standard PDF font included in all PDF viewers). No external fonts are required.

Will the watermark cover the existing content?

The watermark is overlaid with your chosen opacity. At 30% opacity (the default) it is clearly visible but does not obscure the underlying content.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no server-imposed limit. Very large PDFs may take longer to process depending on your device's memory and CPU speed.
