Why Use Our SVG to PNG Converter?
Vector-to-raster conversion that handles every SVG edge case — fonts, gradients, filters, and all.
Crisp at Any Scale
Set your exact output dimensions — whether 16×16 for a favicon or 4000×4000 for a print asset. SVG vectors scale infinitely so your PNG is always sharp.
Complex SVG Support
Handles embedded fonts, CSS styles, clip paths, filters, gradients, and masks. Not just simple shapes — real-world design tool exports convert correctly.
High-DPI & Retina Ready
Export at 2x or 3x scale for Retina displays and high-resolution contexts. Your PNG assets look razor-sharp on every modern screen.

How to Convert SVG to PNG
Upload your SVG file by clicking the drop zone or dragging it in from your file manager. Drop multiple SVG files at once to batch-export PNGs from an entire icon library or brand asset collection. All rasterization runs locally in your browser with no files uploaded to any server.
Set your desired PNG output width and height — or keep the SVG's native dimensions. Because SVG is resolution-independent, you can export the same file at 32px for a favicon, 512px for an app icon, or 4000px for a print asset — all at perfect sharpness without any quality degradation.
Download your crisp, transparent-background PNG at your chosen resolution. SVG backgrounds default to transparent, and the converter preserves this alpha channel in the PNG output. For batch conversions of multiple SVG files, all PNGs are packaged into a ZIP archive for one-click download.
SVG vs PNG: What Changes
Understanding the differences between SVG and PNG helps you choose the right format for your needs.
| Specification | SVG | PNG |
|---|---|---|
| Compression | None (text-based) | Lossless |
| Quality | Perfect (vector) | Excellent |
| Transparency | Yes | Yes |
| Animation | Yes | No |
| File Size | Very Small for graphics | Medium to Large |
Why convert from SVG?
- Not suitable for photographs
- Complex images produce very large files
- Potential security risks from embedded scripts
Why choose PNG?
- Lossless compression maintains quality
- Full transparency support
- Excellent for graphics and text

SVG to PNG — Frequently Asked Questions
Technical and practical answers about converting SVG vector graphics to PNG.
What resolution should I choose when exporting SVG to PNG?
It depends on the use case. For web icons use 32–512px. For social media profile images use 800×800px or above. For print at 300 DPI, multiply your intended inches by 300 (an A4 print needs roughly 2480×3508px). For Retina/HiDPI screens, export at 2x your intended display size.
Will text and fonts in my SVG render correctly in the PNG?
Text in SVGs falls into two categories: text using system fonts (which must be installed on the rendering device) and text converted to paths (which always renders correctly). If your SVG uses embedded or web fonts that aren't system fonts, convert text to outlines in your design tool before exporting for guaranteed accuracy.
Why does my exported PNG look different from the SVG in my browser?
SVG rendering can vary between engines. CSS filters, blend modes, and complex clip paths may differ slightly between browsers and our rasterizer. For critical brand assets, always proof the PNG output and adjust the source SVG if needed.
Can I convert an SVG with a transparent background to PNG?
Yes. SVGs default to transparent backgrounds and our converter preserves this in the PNG output using a full alpha channel. If your SVG has an explicit white or colored background rectangle, that will also be included in the PNG — remove it in your SVG editor if you need transparency.
Is there a file size limit for SVG uploads?
We accept SVG files up to 10 MB. Most SVG files are far smaller — even complex illustrations with thousands of paths are typically well under 1 MB. Very large SVGs may result in long rasterization times at high output resolutions, but most convert in under two seconds.
Can I use the converted PNG commercially?
Our conversion tool places no restrictions on how you use the output PNG. Commercial use is fully permitted. Note that copyright in the original SVG artwork belongs to its creator — our tool's output license only covers the conversion process itself, not the underlying design.
