How do I make a meme with my own picture?

Does the meme generator have templates?

No, there is no template gallery. Every meme starts from an image you upload, such as a screenshot, a photo or a reaction picture saved on your device. If you have a favorite format, save that image first, then add your own text here.

What font do memes use?

Classic memes use Impact: bold white capitals with a black outline, and that is the default here. You can also switch to Arial, Georgia or Comic Sans. Fonts come from your device, so if one is missing, the text falls back to Impact, then Arial.

Can I make an animated GIF meme?

No, this tool makes still memes. You can upload a GIF, but only its first frame is used and the download is a PNG. To caption a moving clip, use the video to GIF tool, which adds a caption at the top or bottom of the GIF.

What size and format is the downloaded meme?

The meme downloads as a PNG named meme.png, at the same width and height as your picture. Nothing is cropped or resized. If the file is too big to share, run it through the image compressor afterward.

Why is my meme text so small?

Font size counts pixels of your original picture, not of the preview. On a large phone photo, 48 px looks tiny. Move Font Size toward 128 px, or shrink the picture first with the image resizer so the text fills more of it.

Why does my meme text run off the edge?

Each line is drawn on a single row and does not wrap or shrink to fit. Shorten the line, lower the font size, or move part of the joke to the other field. All text is set in capitals, which take more room.

Can I change the meme text color and outline?

Yes. Text Color and Stroke Color each open your browser's color picker, so any solid color works, and its hex code shows next to the swatch. Stroke Width sets the outline thickness up to 10, with 3 as the default.

Can I move the text or add more text boxes?

Not at the moment. There are two fixed lines, one centered near the top and one centered near the bottom, and either can stay empty. For a label or credit placed elsewhere on a picture, the image watermark tool offers more positions.

Does the meme generator add a watermark or need an account?

No to both. The download holds only your picture and your two lines of text, and there is no sign-up or daily cap. Your picture stays on your device, while usage stats only record events like an upload, a changed field or a download.

Can I use memes I make for business?

The tool adds no watermark or logo, so the file is just your picture and your text. The picture still belongs to whoever owns it, so for ads or brand posts use your own photos or images licensed for commercial use.
