Privacy Policy

At PixConvert.com, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our services. We want to be clear: our tools process your files directly in your browser, so your files never leave your device. The one exception is AI Cloud, an optional paid mode on a few AI tools that you have to turn on yourself. It is covered in its own section below.

What Information We Collect

  • You can use our tools without an account, and we collect no personally identifiable information when you do. If you create an account for AI Cloud, we store the email address and name you give us.
  • We do not store or transmit the files you open in our tools, unless you choose the optional AI Cloud mode described below.
  • We may collect anonymous usage data, such as the types of files converted or the features used, to help us improve our services. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

We use anonymous usage data to:

  • Analyze trends and usage patterns to understand how our services are being used.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop new features.

Data Security

For every tool running in browser mode, processing takes place within your browser, so your files are as secure as your own device and we do not have access to them. We recommend using up-to-date antivirus software and keeping your browser secure.

Cloud AI Tools

Most tools on this site run entirely in your browser and never upload anything. Some AI tools also offer a cloud mode, and a few only run in the cloud. The AI Photo Enhancer, AI Image Upscaler, Background Remover, AI Image Denoiser and Passport Photo tool all default to browser mode and only use the cloud if you switch to it. The AI Photo Colorizer, AI Object Remover and AI Image Extender run in the cloud only, because the models behind them are too large to run in a browser. Any cloud run needs you to sign in with a verified account and spend credits. When one runs:

  • The image you selected, and for the AI Object Remover the mask you paint, is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI processing partner, Replicate (replicate.com), which runs the model and returns the result.
  • The image, the mask and the result are deleted within 24 hours. We do not use them to train models and we do not share them with anyone else. You can delete them sooner from your account at any time.
  • Cloud tools need an account, so we hold your email address and your credit balance. Browser based tools never require an account.

Payments

Paid plans and credit packs are sold through our payment provider, the Merchant of Record for all our orders. When you buy, the provider collects your payment details, billing address and email to process the payment, handle sales tax and send your receipt. We never see or store your full card number. The provider tells us which plan or pack you bought and whether the payment went through, so we can add credits to your account. The provider's own privacy policy explains how it handles your data.

Deleting Your Account and How Long We Keep Data

If you only use the browser based tools, we hold nothing to delete, because those tools never send your files anywhere. If you created an account for AI Cloud, you can delete it at any time from your account settings. Here is what happens when you do.

  • Your name and email address are removed straight away and your sign-in details are deleted, so you will not be able to log in again.
  • Your uploaded images, results, job history and credit balance are deleted within 24 hours. Cloud files are already removed within 24 hours of each job, so most of this is gone before you ask.
  • We keep a record of payments and subscriptions after your account is closed, because tax and accounting rules require it. Your name and email are removed from those records, so what stays is an amount and a date that is no longer linked to you.
  • If you have a paid subscription, we cancel it as part of closing your account. Allow a few working days for that to go through. If you want it stopped straight away, cancel it yourself before you close the account.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page, and we encourage you to review it periodically. Your continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
