How to Rotate a PDF and Save It

Open your PDF.

Use the left or right button under a page to turn it 90°, or Rotate All Left or Right for every page. The angle shows on each page.

Apply and download.

Click Apply Rotations, then Download PDF. The file is saved as report-rotated.pdf, named after your original, and opens turned in standard PDF viewers.

How do I rotate a PDF and save it?

How do I rotate just one page in a PDF?

Use the left or right button under that page only. Every other page keeps its current orientation, so one landscape table can sit inside a portrait report. The page shows its new angle before you apply it.

How do I rotate all pages of a PDF at once?

Can I rotate a PDF 90 or 180 degrees?

Yes. One click turns a page 90°, two clicks give 180° for an upside-down page, and one click left gives 270°. There are no other angles, so a slightly tilted scan can't be straightened here.

Why does my PDF go back to the old orientation?

Some viewers only turn the page on your screen without saving it. This tool writes the new angle into each page, so the file opens turned in other apps too, including for people you send it to.

Does rotating a PDF reduce quality?

No. Only the page's angle setting changes; text, images and drawings are not redrawn or compressed. Text stays selectable, and bookmarks and the document title stay in the file.

Can I rotate a scanned PDF?

Yes. A scanned page is a picture inside a PDF page, and it turns like any other page. The tool does not read the text in the scan, so it can't detect the right way up for you; check the thumbnails.

Can I rotate pages in a password-protected PDF?

No. The preview opens after you type the password, but Apply Rotations fails on files with a password or editing limits. Remove that protection with our PDF password remover, then rotate the new copy.

How large a PDF can I rotate here?

Up to 200 MB per file, one PDF at a time, with no page count or daily limit. A thumbnail is made for each page before you can turn it, so long PDFs open slower, mostly on phones.

Can I rotate and delete pages in one go?

Not on this page; it only turns pages. Save the rotated file first, then open it in the PDF Page Remover to take out the pages you don't need. Both tools keep your text as it was.

Can I rotate an image instead of a PDF?

This page opens PDF files only. For a JPG, PNG or other picture, use the Image Rotator & Flipper, which turns photos 90°, 180° or 270°. To put turned photos into a PDF, use Image to PDF afterwards.
