Leave Quality at 90 when the picture should stay close to the original, or go lower for smaller files. Our 1920-pixel test photo was 209.48 KB at 90 and 153.95 KB at 75. The slider runs from 1 to 100.

A little, because JPG is lossy and drops fine detail to save space. At the default Quality of 90 the change is small, but each new JPG save loses a bit more, so keep your originals. Pick PNG in Output Format when nothing may change.

A JPG you drop here is saved again as JPG at Quality 90. If it was saved at a lower quality before, the new copy can grow: our 179.12 KB web photo came back at 209.48 KB. Lower Quality to about 75, or use our Image Compressor to reach a set size.

JPG can't store transparency, so clear areas are filled with white. When a PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF or TIFF is in your batch, Advanced opens with a Background picker so you can choose another color. Keep PNG or WebP if you need the see-through parts.

Yes. After adding your JPGs, open Output Format, choose PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF or another type, and press Apply to all files. Our 179.12 KB test photo came out at 137.06 KB as WebP and 1.18 MB as PNG.

Not with this converter, because PDF isn't one of its output formats. Use our Image to PDF tool instead: add your JPGs there and save them together as one PDF file.

Not by typing a size here. Lower Quality or make the image smaller with Resize, then check the size shown on each tile. To aim for an exact limit such as 100 KB, use our Image Compressor, which finds the setting for you.

Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPG) uses lossy compression with good to excellent quality output. It does not support transparency and does not support animation. Typical file sizes are small to medium.
